Among the bands that most made a lot of us care about punk rock, loud music, DIY, seeing bands, basically there’s Karp at the top of the heap. Their excellence as a group can’t be overstated. We waited for new records, tour stops, and news about Karp like kids on Christmas eve. Then, abruptly, they stopped being a band. That’s kind of the capsulized version of a much longer, more interesting story that Bill Badgley (from Federation X) tells here. Don’t expect fluff, either. Expect awesome live footage, great interviews (Melvins, Calvin Johnson, Kathleen Hana, Joe Preston, etc.) and the story of three friends from Tumwater here. Touring domestic and international festivals and showings in late 2011 and early 2012.
